Mike is a Vice President in Malk’s ESG transactional advisory practice where he has led or assisted on ESG due diligence reviews for over 100 transactions spanning an array of industries and geographies. Recent highlights include:
- Acquisition of a multi-national military contractor specializing in aircraft maintenance and services
- Carve-out of a large healthcare technology business delivering SAAS solutions for providers and insurance payors
- Investment in a point-of-sale and data analytics software solution for convenience stores
- Acquisition of a fast food restaurant chain with over 700 locations in the US
Mike advises over 20 GPs on their firm-level ESG and responsible investment strategies, as well as ESG management across their portfolios. In addition to buy-side due diligence reviews, Mike has lead recurring ESG monitoring workstreams for select clients’ portfolios and has completed multiple sell-side ESG exit reviews. In addition, Mike has assisted several GPs with drafting or revising their firm-level ESG investment policies.
Prior to joining Malk Partners, Mike worked in the Dispute Advisory and Forensic Services group of Stout Risius Ross, LLC.
Mike graduated from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Economics.
At the University of Chicago, Mike was a three-year member of the Trott Business Program, a selective program focused on building business acumen through weekly workshops and curriculum at the Booth School of Business. Mike also played on the varsity football team and served as President of his fraternity, Phi Gamma Delta. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, traveling and tasting Belgian beers.
