Maya is a Vice President in Malk’s ESG transactional advisory practice where she has led or assisted on over 150 transactions spanning an array of industries and geographies. Recent highlights include:
- Acquisition of a processor and distributor of garlic and spice products with global sourcing
- Minority investment in a medical equipment ordering software company
- Acquisition of a network of independent roofing distributors
- Investment in a publicly-traded Spanish-language media company
Maya advises over 20 GPs on both firm ESG strategy and ESG management across their portfolios. She also leads periodic projects for specific clients, examples of which include conducting a greenhouse gas inventory for a wealth management firm in Seattle and developing a responsible sourcing strategy for a family of home-design brands.
Prior to Malk Partners, Maya worked as a sustainability consultant for the Dartmouth Sustainability Office. Through an internship at B Lab, Maya’s passion for using business as a force for good was sparked, an interest that ultimately led her to Malk Partners.
Maya graduated from Dartmouth College with a Major in Engineering Modified with Environmental Studies and a Minor in Spanish.
During her time at Dartmouth, Maya participated in the Tuck School of Business Bridge Program, where she gained expertise in accounting, finance, microeconomics, marketing and strategy. Outside of work, Maya enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking, and traveling.
