Kayalin is an Associate at Malk Partners, where she conducts ESG due diligence reviews in transactions. Kayalin identifies and evaluates ESG risks for target companies to mitigate potential operational liabilities. Prior to joining Malk Partners, Kayalin worked for Unshackled Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on US immigrants. At Unshackled Ventures, she conducted research on the drivers of entrepreneurial success for immigrants in the technology sector. Kayalin has experience working at the intersection of business and sustainability on projects including: the development of an ecolodge in Tanzania, the launch of a solar electrification nonprofit, and has also published research on coral reef conservation in the Cook Islands. Kayalin’s passion for ESG and SRI ultimately led her to a career at Malk Partners.
Kayalin graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a B.A. in Environment, Economics, and Politics as a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Interdisciplinary Science Scholar.
At Claremont McKenna College, Kayalin worked for Strategic Energy Innovations where she analyzed the environmental and social sustainability metrics of the college to provide management recommendations. Kayalin was also a collegiate athlete, playing on the women’s varsity basketball team.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, diving, cooking and spending meaningful time with friends and family.
